Confluence Button which moves the current page to a defined different location

Markus Günther December 18, 2018

We are searching for a way to move a page with a single click to another location within the page tree.

Any ideas how this could be achieved, for example with Adaptavist ScriptRunner?

@Markus Günther

Confluence already have the Move Operation in built. Click on the 3 dots on the top right side of the page and you will see the Move Option.

Yes, of course, this is known. However, the user must then choose the destination itself. The goal of this is to have a button with a predefined destination for the movement so it is usable for any kind of users and the destination could be defined explicitely.

@Markus Günther

In that case , using scriptrunner you can add a web item on the page and write a script to move the current page to the destination.

This https://scriptrunner.adaptavist.com/4.3.1/confluence/fragments/WebItem.html may help you.

See the section when it runs the code on click of the item.
