Confluence External Database Configuration Issue

I have installed a trial version with the intent on using a production database (mysql).  I have installed Confluence and MySQL v 5.6.20 on CentOS 6.5.  I have followed the instructions including copying mysql-connector-java-5.1.32-bin.jar to /opt/atlassian/confluence/confluence/WEB-INF/lib/.  MySQL is running.  When I start confluence and select the production option in the wizard I do not get the db configuration prompt.

facing same issue, it's really painful configuration with Mysql and other DB
