Confluence Gadget no longer available in Jira

nkmori_rtx_com April 25, 2025

after we upgraded Confluence from 8.5.4 to 9.12.19 we have dashboards that included content from Confluence that no longer exist. I know per the upgrade notes the gadgets were removed but I installed the Gadget app that was released.  That fixed some of the gadgets that were missing, but we still have a couple of gadgets that are not working.

We have a page in Confluence that includes an image that it pulls in an image. When I review the gadgets available I don't see a gadget available that I can use to pull in this page.  I know I can add external gadgets, but all the Confluence gadgets with a gadget URL are already available in Jira.  On the jira dashboard a gadget error displays.  The error is:

"This gadget cannot be displayed on your dashboard.  This could be due to a licensing problem or an application problem If you need this gadget contact your administrator for assistance"

I don't know what gadget was used to pull over this page to the Jira dashboard.  As I stated above all the gadgets with a gadget URL are already available in jira.

Is there a gadget available to pull over this page (this page just contains an image that is pulled to the Jira dashboard from confluence)?

Hi @nkmori_rtx_com

Which gadgets specifically are you having problems with?

That is the problem I am not sure what gadget the user used to pull those pages from Confluence.  When I asked him he stated I don't see any confluence gadgets available in Jira.  So I guess my question is what gadget do you use to include a confluence page into a jira dashboard?

The Confluence gadget that is now a macro was that gadget available for use in Jira before the gadgets were pulled in 9.0
