Hi @Calvin Senteza

Do you run your Confluence instance under the confluence user?

Calvin Senteza September 6, 2019

Yes the app was started while logged into the server as that user.

There may also be an issue with this:

systemd ignores system ulimits. The values will need to be specified in the proper service file <servicename>.service.

What OS do you run? Is it CentOS/RHEL 7?

It applies to Ubuntu as well, by the way.

Please, have a look at the following:

Jira 8.0.2 Server - Health Check: Thread Limit Issue

The similar problem and its solution are described there.

Hope it helps.

I deleted what was present in the limits.conf and simply copied and pasted the values from the related KB article. After restarting Confluence the thread limit is now recognized. Not sure why it didn't before, but now with identical values and near identical formatting it seems to be working again. Thanks for your help!
