Hi All!
Just a Quick question: How is licencing across multiple server handled?
As example: we would have a productive system and a backup system use the same licence for e.g. 100 People, and on both systems the same people are registered in both instances. Is this ok? or will the "backup" people add to our total number of licences? Is there anything more i have to keep in mind?
Kind Regards!
You should not use the same licence - you should use your licence for the production machine.
You should then get a "developer" licence (the link is underneath your licence key in my.atlassian) and apply that to the backup. The developer licence is explicitly for dev/test and failover purposes, and it mirrors your production one (same number of users and expiry date)

Pilar: Yes ok.
will the "backup" people add to our total number of licences?
Pilar: No, backup server will not add up the licences. Your licences will only count in your production isntance. For backup server, create a developer licence (using my.atlassian, com) URL and you will be fine.

No, just make sure you apply the developer licence to your backup server. The user tier for your backup server will be the same as your production licence tier (i.e. 100 users on each instance.)
