I recently requested that my server id for my serer licenses be reissued. I am getting errors on installation. Can you let me know if you can reissue the server key for confluence. The person who I was speaking with did not respond to any of my messages. The server ID has changed because I had to reinstall the software and everytime I use the old key it fails during the installation. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Kindest Regards,
Rhett Thompson
The server ID is used internally for our records but our license keys are not dependent on them. From a technical (not legal) standpoint you can apply the license to multiple servers with multiple server IDs.
To isolate the issue down to your license, please generate an evaluation license at https://my.atlassian.com and try that. If it also fails then the license is not the likely culprit; we will need to take a deeper look. If the eval license works but your paid license fails we can open a ticket for our customer advocates to generate a new license.
May I ask what error you get during installation when the old key fails?
Server ID does not apply you can install regardless of Server ID key. Thanks for your help.

Rhett,
You could get a new license to match your new server ID. You can request a new license here: http://my.atlassian.com/
You just select confluence server as the product, and insert your new server ID into the fields.
