I try to open a confluence page that we edited last time about six weeks ago. But I can't: It is like the page is in an endless refresh loop. It refreshes before there are buttons visible, "e" for edit is not working, too. I tried it in Chrome ans Safari.
The page contains text and the page properties macro, no linkings, no jpgs or anything.
Seems to be only that one page, I have edited dozens of pages in the same space and in other spaces before today. Do you have any idea what to do?
Thank you in advance!
Additional information: A colleague tried it - same problem, too.
Hello, Kathrin.
Since you mentioned that you aren't able to open the page on your end, can you go through the steps to generate the HAR file mentioned in the documentation below so we can start analyzing this issue further?
That will give us a good idea on the web requests performed by the browser to retrieve the content.
Since you mentioned that it was working previously, was there any new content added to the page since the last time it was edited?
Another thing that I would be interested to know is besides the page properties macro, are there any usage of other macros / third party add-ons?
Hi Ahmad,
we've got it - thanks to your reference to the macro.
We used the root directory macro on the page. The last time the page was edited it has also been moved to a new space without adjusting the root directory macro. Now it couldn't find the "old" root page - seems like that was the problem.
While using the developer tools an error occured on the page and we could stop reloading and at last editing the page.
Thank you so much!
