Hello Guys,

I need to pre-populate a confluence page from the URL (same as in JIRA: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/creating-issues-via-direct-html-links-159474.html?_ga=2.166914870.986325686.1554192942-1348416947.1554192942 )

Is it possible to do that?

Thanks,

Rosy

Hello there!

Rosy, as of today Confluence does not have a feature that behaves exactly like this. We can, however, insert a Create From Template macro.

A template is a type of page where you can have predefined fields and structure. Here is how it works:

  1. Go to the page where you need to insert the creation link
  2. Open the Macro browser
  3. Search for Create From Template
  4. Insert the macro
  5. Select the Template you need
  6. Publish the page

When users click this button a page using this template will be created. Here we have more information on templates and the macro:

Looking forward to your reply Rosy!
