Hello,

I’m experiencing a critical issue in Confluence — the “Publish” button constantly switches to a loading state and the editor freezes, sometimes every 10 seconds. This makes it nearly impossible to work.

The problem has returned despite previous fixes, and it needs urgent attention. I’m available to share my screen remotely so you can see the issue in real time.

Please treat this as high priority.

Thank you.

Hi @김나연

This issue doesn’t seem to be part of any current Atlassian Cloud outage, but there are a few common causes worth checking:

  • Browser factors – Try editing in a different browser or in incognito/private mode to rule out cache or extensions.

  • Network/connectivity – If possible, test from another network or device. Intermittent connectivity can cause the editor to lose sync and freeze.

  • Page complexity – Very large pages or pages with many macros/tables can sometimes cause the editor to slow down or freeze when publishing.

  • Collaborative editing sync – Occasionally, the collaborative editing service can get “stuck” and cause the Publish button to hang. If this is reproducible, it’s worth raising with Atlassian Support so they can check logs on their side.

If you can reproduce the issue consistently, I’d recommend opening a support ticket with exact steps, browser/version, and any console errors from your browser’s developer tools. That will give the support team the best chance to identify the root cause.

Hope this helps you narrow it down and get a fix faster.
