Confluence Space setup

I have a bunch of applications we use and need to setup a confluence space for each of them so that I can start building out a roadmap for visibility. Also the roadmap will be for resource planning for the technical owner and visibility when we overview application and releases.

What type of space should I setup? a software-project or a business-project?  I'd like to have the flexibility to link in to JIRA as required.

@Wendi Good The space templates just provide some basic page types that would be associated with that type of space and an initial starting point to get you going.  If you want to add additional page types to the space, etc. you will be able to do so.  Since you are doing applications I would suggest software to get you started.   All of the space types will allow you to link to JIRA.  You can also create them to see what they are like and delete them if you do not like them.
