Confluence analytics: how to get views, likes, visitors, comments?

Richard Coffre June 20, 2019

Hi all,

Maybe I am wrong but I think I read that with the last server version of Confluence (currently 6.15.4), we should be able to finally have analytics.

For example views, visitors, likes, comments, etc.

I had a dream?

Kind regards

I think you may have had a dream, but it's one that may be drawing on several things...

  • Confluence has some analytics built-in, but turned off by default because it's really flaky on larger Confluences, and is aimed more at debugging than web analytics
  • There are a number of apps in the marketplace that add analytics (ones that do perform ok and are aimed at web analytics)
  • Atlassian recently bought "Good Software", which wrote one of these apps, so we're all expecting Atlassian to announce it as a standard app, or even build it into Confluence

For what it's worth, I think the last point was a good move - I've used several of the apps for Confluence analytics and got it to do some without apps and Good Software's app is by far the best of them!
