Confluence as CMS

currently we have a requirement to develop a CMS website, currently they manages their contents in confluence , so the requirement is to develop CMS using Confluence , is this feasible , also if possible do you think Confluence is better than Sharepoint, please advise.

Hello @keerthi , the answer sort of depends on what you requirements are. Confluence, CMSes and SharePoint server different purposes.

If you want to have a help system with bunches of articles like Wikipedia, then Confluence will work. If you want to develop a website with custom menus, custom layouts, etc., you will need a CMS. 

I have used Confluence, WordPress (which I hate), Drupal (which I love), and SharePoint (which I loath). So I am well aware of their relative strengths and weaknesses.

In fact we develop content for our website in Confluence, but then use Drupal to build the actual website as you have much more control over menuing, page display, custom functions, etc.
