Confluence automatically adding user as page watcher to new pages in space

We're having a Confluence Watchers problem. Whenever we create a new page in our space, one of our users is automatically added as a page watcher. He is not watching the space. He unchecked the Autowatch button under email settings. We're not sure what to try next. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it a bug?

Hi @Marinda , 

Generally, under the User Profile--> Settings --> Email, if Autowatch is disabled, the user will not be automatically added as a page watcher.

Can you ask the User to log out of the Confluence, Clean the browser Cache/Cookies and then try login into Confluence and validate if he is added to any new page created in space.
