I've created a simple blueprint for confluence and my atlassian-connect.json file is just provided in this document. However, it only shows in the templates section. I was expecting to find it in the dialog box when a user clicks create space. I'm a bit confused at the moment as what I was expecting to create is a space blueprint and not just a template. Can anyone kindly help enlighten me on this? I've read several of the guides and I find only one approach to create a blueprint. If anyone has any pointers for me, it'll be greatly appreciated. I'm looking to create a space blueprint that is available in the dialog box as shown in this screenshot.

Hi @Michael Dugah and welcome to the community!

So sorry that your question hasn't been answered that long! Let me explain about blueprints. There are two types:

  • Global blueprint: these are available to your confluence instance (the way you want it)
  • Space blueprints: these are available only to the space they are created

In order to create a global blueprint you have to navigate from the cog > global templates & blueprints and then click add global template. If you create it this way it will appear on your create page. Take a loot at the images below:

I have already created a global template and it appears like the one below:

And when I click create, and then click on the custom selection, I can see my newly created template:

I hope that this was what you were looking for!
