Confluence error in log

Hi,

Recently we had a downtime and upon analysing logs i came across this from which the error trail starts leading to more transaction exceptions etc.

log Unhandled exception occurred whilst decorating page  -- url: /confluence/plugins/servlet/confluence/editinword/xxxxx/attachments/ocauth/ | userName: anonymous java.lang.NullPointerException

I googled this out and saw some exceptions having similarity but it seems in my case this has got to do something with "ocauth".i saw a KB article

However i am not convinced if thats our exact problem.Has anybody else here faced similar problems and have any idea if the above mentioned reason is the exact one?

Hi Sandeep,

I don't believe the error above would cause a confluence outage. You can receive an error like this to access a page however it won't crash confluence as far as I know.

I recommend to review the logs and check the latest error messages before an confluence startup.

Just locate this part "starting confluence", then check right above the error messages. It should have something more conclusive.
