Seeing that Confluence 5.10 is reaching end of life, does Atlassian offer extended support say for a few more months of support?

No, there's no extended support.

You can carry on running it, of course, and maybe asking a partner for something formal, but it is unsupported by Atlassian (although, they will still try to help if it goes wrong on the most part!)
