excel hyperlinks work, but documents cant be launch via hyperlink for 2007 word users. Is there a fix for this. Have searched atlassian bugs, but knothing exact.

Are you still having this issue? Is there any error message appearing for you in confluence interface? If this is an old version of confluence, I recommend to install the latest version 5.5.x and check if the issue persists with the word office links.
