Confluence mail server with exchange

We are in the process of acquaring confluence for our organisation. The issue I am facing is to configure the email notification. We use out exchange server for our emails. Does anyone configured confluence to use the exchange server, if they have can they put some instruction here.

We are using Confluence with Exchange server using IMAP.

Protocol: IMAPS

Port: 993

Hostname: Exchange server (mostly ur Web Mail Access Server)

Username: DomainName\username\firstpartofemailaddress (note the format)

Password: Obvious

Thanks for the reply apreciate that. when I click on the Mail Servers under Configuration in Confluence it asks to add SMTP server. There is no opton for IMAP.

Oh, my example was for the mail accounts for the confluence spaces, sorry.

For notification, I guess it is only SMTP, and you need to enable SMTP access in Exchange server.
