Confluence metadata into WORD

Ståle Rivelsrud April 9, 2018

Hi,

Is there anyway to embed the Confluence version of a word document into the document it self?

Hi Stale,

If you're referring to displaying specific Confluence information (i.e. in your example the page revision), you could have a look at Scroll Office for Confluence, which extends the default functionality to export Confluence content to Microsoft Word.

Scroll Office allows you to use placeholders in your MS Word template. Those placeholders will then be resolved dynamically and display the wanted information.

You can find further information in our documentation: Using Placeholders – for your use case the placeholder $scroll.version might be the right one, as this displays the page revision of the exported root page.

I hope this goes into the right direction of your question?

If not - as Minh suggested - we'd need to have additional information about what you're trying to achieve to help further.

Cheers,
Nils
