As a Atlassian site admin, how can I setup the default behavior of the Confluence email notification system globally to only notify user when they are mentioned with "@"?
I understand that users can setup their default email notifications and stop watching for notifications but I'd like to configure it for the whole site, no notification at all except for if a user is mentioned with "@"
Any suggestion is much appreciated.
Confluence admins can:
Set the default options for the recommended updates notification. Select(Settings) in the Confluence navigation then choose Recommended Updates Email on the left. See Configure the recommended updates email notification.
Turn email and push notifications on or off for their instance. Select(Settings) in the Confluence navigation then select Further Configuration to manage these settings.
Other than that you will have to have the users make the adjustments. https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/subscribe-to-email-notifications/
Hi Brant, many thanks for your help.
The "Recommended Updates Email" settings seems to be irrelevant and turning the email and push off globally doesn't seem to be a good option.
Guess we'll have to instruct the users how to adjust their preferences setup.
Thanks again!
