We shutdown our machines each night and restart in the morning. Occassionally, the confluence server will restart but the java process is not running. Log files show that the confluence java process was started. There is no clue in the log files as to what the issue is.
Manually restarting the confluence server always works.
We are running Confluence 7.4 (recently update)
The database is available at the time of restart. ( jira and bitbucket servers start without problem.)
Logging has been turned up to debug but there is nothing to indicate a problem.
"We shutdown our machines each night and restart in the morning"
Why ?
It doesn't make sense in a professional company environment.
One only deals with problems.
Even my private confluence is always on.
The server is only the size of a RasperryPi but it is always on.
