Confluence server destroyd and need to reinstall.

Kenneth Nor September 6, 2018

I have had a server crash and unfortunately the confluence server is not possible to rebuild.

The mysql database is intact so i hope to have most of my data back. I know attachments and gliffy diagrams are lost, but that is fine as long as i get all the other information back.

I tried to install a fresh server with the latest confluence release but it was a version conflict with what was in the database so that "failed".

Is there a way to upgrade the database while installing the latest confluence release?

How can i find what version to download if i need to install the same version to match the database?

I basely need help to restore most of what i have lost.

If it were nothing but an upgrade, then the newer Confluence version would upgrade the database.

However, you are not doing a simple upgrade here.  You have a potentially quite damaged Confluence, but the upgrade process always starts on the assumption that you have a healthy system to upgrade.

Forget an upgrade.  Install a Confluence of exactly the same version as the server that crashed and try to restore from that.

For older versions, start at https://www.atlassian.com/software/confluence/download and use the links to the older ones.
