Confluence users are unable to view several pages, how can I fix this?

Users at one of our locations receive a 30 second timeout error when trying to view certain pages. On-site users are able to see the pages after a brief delay. The space is very large with many pages and subpages so I'm wondering if that's the reason for it taking so long to load. I've already ruled out permission issues. Any advise on what to try?

I would start by doing a performance analysis of your Confluence server. In particular, check how much memory has been allocated to JVM for Confluence. The default value is 1GB, which is not enough and should be increased to 4GB on average.

The other area that I would check is if there is any reverse proxy that might not be properly configured.
