Confluence - who receives email notification

Hi,

A user who belongs to the group with permission to a space created a page but stated he did not receive an email notification upon creating notes on a page within this space.  

What is the protocol for receiving email notification?

Hi Julio,

By default, users don't receive email notifications in Confluence for their own changes. This is configurable and can be changed by checking the Notify on my actions option in a user's email preferences.

To edit your email notification settings:

1. Choose your profile picture at top right of the screen, then choose Settings

2. Click Email in the left-hand panel
3. Click Edit

Also note that the user needs to be watching the space to receive an email notification when new pages are created in it. See https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/email-notifications-145162.html for lots more info about email notifications.

Just a qualification about finding the Email Settings - depending on your Confluence, it is no longer available directly as stated by Daniel (many  )

2. Scroll to the bottom of the Watch listing page where you will see the line:
   "You can set your email notification options on the email settings page."
   Click email settings
3. Click Edit

at least with Confluence 6.1.4 server both ways to edit the email settings work. Maybe Rodneys answer is valid for the cloud version.
