Now I wish to export important spaces from testing confluence site and add them to working site. both them are same version as 4.2.3 . Please you let me know how can i add my important spaces from testing confluence site to my working confluence site.

Hi Worladorn,

You could dot his by exporting the important space to XML, and restore it to your production instance. As they are both at the same version, you could do this process directly.

If there are any duplicate spacekey, you will need to modify the spacekey inside the XML export file. Please try the following steps:

Unzipped the XML file of the space backup

  1. First open {{entities.xml}} from the unzipped directory using your preferred text editor (eg: Notepad++)
  2. Find all spacekey and replace it with the preferred new spacekey
  3. Save
  4. Secondly, open {{exportDescriptor.properties}} and modify the spacekey configured on it
  5. Save
  6. Rezipped
  7. Re-name the file to format xml again
  8. Restore

Hope it helps.
