I'm hoping there might be a way to do this. I had a game design document that was 100 pages long, with subheadings up to 8 layers deep. The import in confluence only supports 2 layers deep. So now I have to manually go through and convert all that to the page structure I want. If I had an option to edit the page and then just highlight the text that should be on a subpage, that would be much faster.
The only other option I can think of is to break my document into chunks and then stitch them back together but at that stage I think I'd almost rather just do it manually.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Hello @Faina Dsouza
As per my experience, Confluence support only 6 layers of subheadings (Heading 1 to 6). If we import a document with more layers, it would simply convert any layer after the 6th layer into heading1.
Even manually, it will let you create subheadings till level 6 only.
In my opinion, for a document with 8 levels of subheadings, you can keep levels until level 6 and beyond that convert them into lists under Level 6, as Confluence also support 6 levels of lists as well.
