Copying and pasting Apple Notes should be more straightforward

Does anyone know how I could make the process of copying and pasting Apple Notes to Confluence pages less of a burden?

For instance copying and pasting indented bullet lists in Apple Notes are pasted into Confluence as plain text with all indentation gone.

Hi Pascal,

I'm testing this now on macOS Sierra 10.13.4, on the latest version of Google Chrome. I pasted my text with indented bullet points into both the lastest Confluence Server 6.8.1 and Confluence Cloud.

I can confirm that my formatting all remained the same.

Can you tell me what kind of formatting you're using in your notes that is disappearing?

Regards,

Shannon

Hi Shannon,

(sorry for the delay: for some reason I do not receive notifications from the community site, while all notification-settings look OK. Nothing in spam-folder either. Oh well..)

To resume the topic I've started:

My setup is Firefox on macOS Mojave

When I copy a small bullet list with a few items indented from Apple Notes to a page in Confluence Cloud (*) 1) all indentation is lost and 2) confluence does not recognize the list as a "real bullet list" (bullet list-button is highlighted in the page toolbar).

When I copy a small bullet list with a few items indented from Apple Notes to a page in Confluence Server 6.0.5 (**) 1) the indentation is kept intact (alas, using spaces not tabs) but 2) confluence does not recognize the list as a "real bullet list".

I've included a couple of screenshots below

But OTOH: I've tested this on Confluence Cloud with both Chrome and Safari, and as you stated the problem is not occurring in those browsers. But I have intention to change my default browser, of course.

Hello,

Thank you for that information and apologies for the delay.

I found a similar issue is reported here:

It's the same behavior despite not being part of a code block. I've submitted this feedback to the developers regarding the issue.

However, as you may know, we're working on a new editor. I've tested this issue on the new editor, and I am no longer able to replicate it. So you can expect a fix in the near future for this problem.

Let me know if you have any questions about that.

Regards,

Shannon
