Copying data from one page to a dashboard?

Jehu Pineda July 20, 2022

I want to move specific data from single project pages to a main dashboard, how do I do that? Here is an example: I have project A with Health in "Green" and project B with health "Yellow" both are on individual page. I have a Third page which is the Program Dashboard. I want to move the health from project A and B to the program Dashboard so every time there is update in health is reflected at the program page.

Thanks,

Jehu

Hey @Jehu Pineda,

A possible way is to try it with page properties, but I would like to suggest looking at our app Orderly Databases for Confluence. Looking at your product plan, the good news is that It's also free for smaller teams of up to 10 users. 😄

Page properties are rather limited and cumbersome when it comes to consistently structuring and maintaining data (try adding a new field). Especially as they are tied to pages and can only be edited there. The report is also read-only and offers little flexibility for filtering and displaying data. That's why we developed Orderly.

Feel free to check it out and let me know if you have any other questions about implementing your use case! 🙂

Best, Max

@Jehu Pineda You can use page properties on each of the pages to contain the status.  Then on the program dashboard use the page property report to display the information.  https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/insert-the-page-properties-macro/
