Copying over a space from confluence data centre to confluence cloud

Hi

I've used the space back up utility to make a xml back up of a confluence space we want to export from our confluence data centre environment to someone else's confluence cloud environment. Will this work and if not how could I export an entire space from data centre to cloud?

Thanks! I have seen the migration app offering but I have some concerns. Will it only move the one space over I need and nothing else? Also is this a cut and paste or a copy over from the data centre environment to the cloud environment?
