Copyright symbol causing an unwanted character in footers

Can you reproduce this bug:

  1. Space Settings > Look and Feel > Footer
  2. Enter a © symbol as the first character.
  3. When you save it, you get Â©.

Can you find a workaround?

Having the same issue with headers and footers in Confluence Cloud. All of a sudden the © will not display, but shows up as ��.

If anyone is reading this and has an answer, I would greatly appreciate your help. Thanks!
