Could a Confluence Space act as an "App Store" where apps are rated and can be downloaded?

I'd like to create an "App Store" where in-house apps are rated, may be given other metrics (eg maturity) and can be downloaded by users in the organisation.

Others have used the likes of SharePoint for this.

Could Confluence support such a set-up?

Welcome to the community. As @Lisa Grau mentioned you could use Confluence Pages for your use-case.

On a side note if you have programming expertise, you could look into The Forge Platform from Atlassian for developers which allows custom App development on top of Confluence.

So in your use-case a Forge App store on Confluence could very well be realized using Forge.

Hi Fraser,

that depends on your requirements. You could create a page per app and use the Like-function as a metric. On the confluence page itself, you can create a link to a direct download, add a table and different icons to resemble other metrics. The comment section can be used for feedback.

On a parent page, you can list all the apps created as child pages.

Additionally, you could use a poll or vote macro for Confluence to spicen up the view.

The possibilities are limitless, I'm sure you'll find a nice setup. :)

Thanks for the suggestion though. If you use the like function can the parent page display the total number of likes for each app page?
