Hi there,
we are using Confluence Cloud and I'd like to insert a button onto a page to create a new blogpost. I have already read the solution for confluence server (create a user makro). But is it possible to create a user makro for creating a blogpost button in confluence cloud?
Or are there any other solutions?
Thank you in advance!
Cheers
Kathrin
I don't think you can create user macro in Confluence Cloud. Please see the list of restricted functions here https://confluence.atlassian.com/confcloud/restricted-functions-in-confluence-cloud-734070955.html
I think you can try to use HTML Macro for Confluence Cloud for putting the Create blog post button on your page https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/biz.artemissoftware.confluence.html.HtmlMacro/cloud/overview

In the legacy editor on Confluence Cloud, I linked an image to the hyperlink of the +Create dialog box i.e. <https://yoursitename.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KEY/overview?createDialog=true >
It's a little clunky but it works.

Hi Jen
Yeah it's a fake link - you need to replace "yoursitename" with your confluence site's name.
With the menu update and the new Create button this method may not work anymore, but see how you go.
