https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/use-jira-applications-and-confluence-together-427623543.html describes how to create a new issue from within confluence. So far so good. Yet I would like generate a completely new issues every time someone activates the button. An Issue like "install patch for customer" A will be generated by patchworkerX today. Tomorrow the same routine will be performed for customer B by patchworkerZ.
When the work is done, the testrapport is attached to the issue and the issue is closed. Next customer, next patchworker == > next issue Ideally the Issue is linked to a page in confluece, which contains the requirements for set-up, testing and definition of done.
It might be helpful to see a screenshot of what you are looking for here. However, there is not "button" that can be added exactly. But here is what i'm thinking. Let's assume that in your Confluence space you build a "Patch Application" template and maybe it has a table in it that captures things like: Date, Patch Title, Patch #, Patch Worker etc. It is a simply matter to highlight the text in one of the fields and create a Jira issue. Granted it isn't a button but it is only 2 steps: highlight and click. Again, I'm not sure I fully appreciate you needs here so this may not meet your needs.
I'm sure you could script something using an addon for this as well so might be worth checking marketplace for Confluence addon.
In this example the confluence page is linked to Issue Mod300-70. Should someone who is servicing these instruments click on the issue, do his work and close it. this issue will also be closed in confluence. So best would be if the issue is only a template with a preset name and time that generates a new issue when it is saved. A workaround would be to require the serviceworkers to clone the issue. This however is really a crutch, as people my forget to clone.
