Creating Global Templates - buggy and bad

I am trying to setup a global template, like I have done a thousand times on Server, but on cloud this is a very bad experience.

I want the design to stretch, for obvious reason, but even if I can set sections and even tables to be full width, regular content does not work and they are locked in a fixed with position for some reason.

Trying to use the template completely crash Confluence and I get very strange behavior with double scrollbars, no editor and no save functions.

It is very bad.

I assume this is because the editor for the Global Template has not been updated, or there is a bug that break things if you expand sections/tables.

Either way, this kind of ruined my day so far.

Anyone else experienced this and know what is going on so I can fix it?

Ok, Variables break this bad and as I suspected making the tables and sections wide mess things up as well. Removing the variables required a few tries before the system realized they were gone as well...

Making template should NOT be a different experience than working with pages normally.
