Creating a page in a space in Confluence from a web application

We are creating an application where when user clicks on a particular button, we want to create a page in confluence with some basic data in a particular space. That is why I wanted to explore kind of web service or function call that can help us do that.

I am unable to find any such way.Does anybody here have an idea about this?

but take care, that the content you are providing is in confluences storage format ;)
