Creation of Jira Task in Confluence is not possible

Sarah Nicolin March 1, 2023

We use Confluence and JIRA both as cloud applications. I tried to create a Jira Task directly in Confluence. But recently, when I try to fill in the issue type, I get the message that there are "No matches found".

I used the Makro quite a lot before. I did not change any settings nor in confluence neither in Jira. Please help!

Hi @Sarah Nicolin , I also see this problem in my Confluence instances. I have reported it to Atlassian, which hopefully they will make a note of here - Confluence Status (atlassian.com)

Hi @Valerie Knapp maybe you could add the link to your post here as well?

Hi @Sarah Nicolin , this is the ticket number but I can't share it with you because I don't see your email - PCS-160904. I will keep you updated.

Hi @Sarah Nicolin , Atlassian have created a bug here - [CONFCLOUD-75297] Jira Macro - Create new issue not showing issue type - Create and track feature requests for Atlassian products.

and provided two workarounds in the interim time until this is resolved -

Workaround

Currently we have two possible workarounds for this bug. Please follow the steps below:

Workaround

As a workaround for now, you can either:

  1. Create the issue directly on JIRA and then paste the link on the Confluence page.
    OR
  2. Select the text on the Confluence page, and click on "+ Create Issue".

I will keep an eye on the bug anyway to see when it is resolved. Sorry it wasn't an open and shut case as such.

Cheers
