Custom layout of confiforms form for modification

We have a Confiforms form that is a user profile and contains several fields but also a couple file upload controls.  It is a custom layout so that we can make it look good but am struggling with the best way to allow users to return to the page to periodically make changes while also retaining the uploaded files.  If you use the standard editor from the admin control then the form is rendered with the attachments and it retains them (and allows them to delete them) easily.  How can this be duplicated while using a custom layout?

Custom layout for edits are not supported in ConfiForms cloud as of now. Mainly because of the limitation set by the Confluence editor (dropping support for nesting bodied macros)
