DIV macro not accepting margin or padding CSS

When styling a DIV macro, the margin and padding elements have no impact. How to create margins within a Div macro? Here is the CSS I'm using:

style=margin:10px 5px 15px 20px;border:2px solid #2DC800;background-color:#D2FFC4;width:300px;float: right;

Sorry to sound like a moron, but I can't find any DIV macro in the documentation. Is it undocumented?
