I attempted to import a Confluence area from my old instance to the new instance using the new data transfer tool. However, after completing the transfer, only the imported users and groups are visible, but not the imported area.
What could be the reason for this?
Thanks for your help in advance.
I'd suggest to check this official article about Cloud-to-Cloud data transfer: Transfer Confluence data (you'll need to be Org admin for this)
Also it depends on what you need to achieve, but I'd like to point out that you'll also need to 'copy' users and groups.
As for what is copied and what is not, here's the full list: What data is copied / What Confluence data is copied and what isn’t
Now, what I usually do when 'moving' only a single space to another site is CSV export/import.
Export a space's content as Word, PDF, or data files / Export a space
It works really well, but things like whiteboards and databases will not be copied, so that needs to be done manually.
For this method, you can only be a space admin on the source site and a Confluence/app admin on the destination site.
Welcome to Atlassian community!
From the problem description I understand that the exported space is not visible under the space list is after the product transfer.
Sometimes it could be just the permissions playing its part, can you try accessing this URL https://<site name>.atlassian.net/wiki/admin/permissions/space-permissions/allspaces by updating your site name and let me know if you are able to view all the spaces.
As an admin you can list all the spaces there and even recover the admin permissions for the same.
Hope this helps!!

Hi @Malte Redmann , thanks for your post.
Did you use this process? https://support.atlassian.com/organization-administration/docs/copy-confluence-data/
How long ago did you execute the data transfer? The reason I ask is because I wonder if moving the users and groups is faster than the Confluence content. Do you have this dashboard which is mentioned in the documentation? What status does the transfer have?
If you can provide some more info, as my fellow responders have asked, we will try to help you get this sorted out.
Best wishes

Hey @Malte Redmann , @marc -Collabello--Phase Locked- , @Marc - Devoteam , I have flagged this to Atlassian as there are a few posts about this same issue so I also want them to take a look.
Cheers

I executed the data transfer yesterday in the morning. The Users and Groups were moved correctly, but the space isn't.
The status on the Dashboard is "Complete"

You can transfer spaces through export and import. However I do not know how that would work with the data transfer tool.

I thought the data transfer tool is exactly for this case.
When I work with the normal way via csv.-export and import, f.e. attachments couldn't get tranferred.
we've morked with this Data Transfer Tool for the Import of Jira data too, and there everything has worked fine. Sadly, confluence data isn't working correctly...
