Databases are still useless.

Played with databases again today, as I do every few weeks. Good to see they're still pretty useless. How is it that a page properties report is still more useful and better looking? Databases are so visually jarring. The only reason I use Confluence as opposed to SharePoint or Notepad is because it looks nice. Databases ruin that.

Please give us a macro called "Database Report" that looks just like a page properties report and allows us to use some JQL variant or apply multiple conditions. via a GUI.

This looks nice, well done, but it does not fit my needs.

Databases were not supposed to substitute page properties macros

I never said they were. I just said they look like crap and gave an example of a macro that doesn't stick out like a sore thumb.

And yes, I'm familiar with the origin story of this particular character. It doesn't change or excuse the fact that it needs serious improvement.

@Scott Beeson As per your permissions, it appears that you are not able to do it. I guess that someone in @Atlassian will see the content of this thread shortly.

@Scott Beeson You might want to open a suggestion on jira.atlassian.com ?

That redirects to start.atlassian.com which then redirects to team.atlassian.com. I clicked "Give Feedback" but I doubt that does anything.

I don't think you can directly open a ticket on their jira instance like you used to be able to do.

Yes, you can open a suggestion.

It literally says I can't and that I should make a post here.
