After upgrading to Confluence 6.6.1, I noticed the date (using //) does not display using the excerpts parameter in the blog post macro. Date displays properly when viewing the full post.
Can someone please verify in your environment?

Hi Jonathan,
I installed Confluence 6.6.1 and worked on reproducing the issue. I am not sure I am doing it correctly. I created a blog, put the date in an excerpt macro and displayed it on a different page using the blog macro.
If I am not following the steps necessary to reproduce please let me know what to do instead.
Thanks,
Ann

Ann,
Your test looks good. Support responded to have me clear the plugin cache. Will give this a shot and respond back to this thread.

Ann,
Try this. Create a new blog post that says:
test //date
Insert the blog macro on a page and change the parameters so it says Content Type to Display = excerpts. This is when the date goes invisible.
If I choose "entire" in the macro properties, the date displays. See screenshot.

Hi Jon,
I got the same results you report on Confluence 6.6.1:
For details on what the different display options do on the Blog Post Macro, please see: Blog Posts Macro. The Excerpts content type option on the Blog Post macro is meant for use in combination with the Excerpt Macro.
It sounds like you can display the date as desired by choosing "entire" as the Content type to display, so I am not sure how to help.
The support engineer on your support request had a lot of questions to help isolate the issue. I hope when the investigation is complete you will let us know how it was resolved.
Thanks,
Ann
