We want to delete a file on our Confluence site, but the one who created it doesn't work here anymore so we can't delete it.
Hi Nikola,
you could create a user based on the e-mail adress and use the "Login as User" Tool. That's the quick workaround for that.
Here is a short documentary on that: https://support.atlassian.com/user-management/docs/log-in-as-another-user/.
Otherwise, if there is a overall admin on the confluence space he should be able to delete it. Is there any group or person which has all the rights in the confluence space?
Best Regards
Niklas
Hi @Nikola.Srdic , and welcome to the Community.
Can you give us some more information about the situation? The likely cause for this issue will be a lack of the necessary permission in the space. If it's just a regular space, you can adjust the permissions or any Confluence Administrator will be able to do so (or restore permissions from the Confluence configuration). If you need to delete something in the personal space of that user, it's more tricky. You can also try to log in as the other user if you're on Cloud. So, there are a few ways to tackle this. :)
Best, Max
