Delete a space - how long should it take?

How long should it take normally to delete a space?

I have a space with 965 pages and it takes almost an hour..

Is it expected behavior?

I have had spaces that big take a long time to delete. If I remember correctly it took about 30-40mins so its doesnt sound that far off but that is a long time.

Agreed, and I would think it's not only the number of pages but elements like how much content is on the pages, how many macros on pages, how many and how large are the attachments to pages that all can add to the time.
