Hello,
Due to page copy, we have a some pages with more than 500 attachments. This is obviously bad and we need to delete them.
There are some apps in the marketplace to delete all attachments but they delete all of them. We want to leave the ones that are actually being used in the page. Is there any app or way that we could differentiate the attachments that are being used it the page and shown as images vs the ones that have just accumulated there over time and are not being referenced?
Best Regards
Hi @laralg, I haven't found a workaround for this scenario as yet. I did find the suggestions CONFSERVER-16577 and CONFSERVER-45724 at the Atlassian ticket system. Both relate to your question, so I thought it would be useful to register a reference to those in this answer.
Probably, there is a way to script this, but it would be a great feature itself to add to existing add-ons/apps if they haven't done yet. I came across a few apps that handle the attachments selectively, but I am not sure whether they can combine the feature of identifying unused attachments and bulk delete them as you described.
Cheers,
IL.
