We are currently using Confluence Cloud and have received a deprecation notice via email from Atlassian. I would like to know if any action is required from our side to this notice?
The Legacy Editor in Confluence Cloud is being deprecated
Full deprecation scheduled for April 2026
We're making this change to deliver a single, modern editing experience in the Cloud Editor, where all teams have access to better real time collaboration, richer content, and AI powered features to help teams work smarter and faster.
Since your site has pages using the Legacy Editor, here's what to expect:
Your existing content will remain intact after the deprecation. You have options to convert legacy pages at the page, space, or site level at any time. Pages that require special handling (like those with nested macros) will be preserved using the new Legacy Content Macro, and we're actively expanding support for additional use cases.
• Phase 1 (January 2026): new pages cannot be created in the Legacy Editor, including copying legacy pages or creating new pages from legacy editor templates.
• Phase 2 (January 2026 – March 2026): viewing or editing a legacy page will automatically convert it to the Cloud Editor.
• Phase 3 (April 2026): Legacy Editor is fully deprecated; all content is edited in the Cloud Editor and pages cannot be reverted back to Legacy Editor.
Based on what you shared I don't think an action from your end is required.
Best,
Fadoua
