Diagram apps with embedded assets

Hi all,

Looking for suggestions on the best possible options for a diagram apps for confluence that meets the following. Open for both paid and free apps

• manual drag/drop diagrams like in draw.io
• programmatically generated uml like in plantuml or lucid
• embedded diagram files in page so it's tied with the page versioning and history
• web based editor so we don't install any local app. ideally it can be launched from confluence directly

You could check out options on the Marketplace, for example...

• draw.io
• Gliffy
• Whiteboards
• ...etc

You can also link external whiteboarding tools to Confluence, such as...

• Miro
• Mural
• Lucid

Finally, I'd check out Confluence Whiteboards - which is currently in beta!

Which one works best, based on feature availability, is up to you! I'd install a few on a trial basis and give them a go :)

Thank you for the list Stephen! Will add Gliffy and Whiteboards to our PoC. We want to centralize documentation to confluence hence external diagrams (Miro, Mural, Lucid) will be excluded.

Hi @Laurence Maiquez ! Have you considered draw.io itself? We have an app here on the Marketplace that is directly native to Confluence, and is launched inside the product (in the browser). Happy to answer any questions you might have about it.

thanks mike. might be unrelated but if we get drawio for confluence, does it work with Jira as well or is it a different cost?

@Laurence Maiquez if you want to create/build diagrams in Jira, you will need our separate draw.io for Jira app. However, if you just want to embed completed diagrams from Confluence into Jira, you can do that with just the Confluence app.
