Directly jump from search to a part of a page?

Stefan HEINRICH July 8, 2022

Hello,

We’ve got pages that come along with lot of structured text. While structured means different levels of headings. We already using [Table of Contents] on each page but looking for the possibility of directly jumping from search to a specific part of a page. Right now when clicking something from the search the page starts always on top.

From what I learned is that labels cannot solve this problem as there is no way to place a label somewhere within the text but only “general” labels for a whole page.

It would really increase comfort of use and user acceptance to directly jump to what I’m searching.

Anybody having an idea or solution?

Many thanks in advance for your hints!

Best regards, Stefan

Hi @Stefan HEINRICH ,

I just tried by inserting an anchor macro but it does not work. Search will give you the page name , once you are on the page, you can use anchor to jump to that part of page.

Thanks,

Srinath T

Hi @Stefan HEINRICH ,

Welcome to Atlassian community.

I am not sure if it will work but you can try inserting Anchor macro and when search finds it , click on it. Check if that takes you to the part of the page. Below page has all info about anchor macro.

Have a good day!

Thanks,

Srinath T
