Disable comment email notifications for external user groups.

Luan Minh Nguyen February 4, 2018

If we have pages that are being watched by partners, we don't want internal comments to generate an email notification to our external partners.

How do we accomplish this?

Dear @Luan Minh Nguyen,

Confluence main purpose is 'collaboration'. This works only if there is 'some' communication. Its the concept of notifications, that anybody who can see a specific page an watches it, will be notified if there are changes.

Your requirement would need a mechanism like events for 'commenting', 'editing', etc, and the possibility to assign groups/users to events.

Unfortunately, confluence hasn't this ability.

What you could do:

1. Find a plugin, that can do what you want.

2. Filter emails to partners on the MTA with content rules. (outside Confluence)

So long
