Hello team,
Greetings !!!
Recently we have purchased a Confluence (Server) 10 Users: Starter License. We are already using Jira Software (Server) 100 Users: Commercial License.
Please let us know how can we deactivate the Confluence users to effectively use our license for 10 users without deactivating the Jira users. Thank you for your support.
Note - Users are not able to login to Confluence as more than 10 users in Confluence are in active state.
Regards,
Pranav
How are your users added to Confluence? Did you use the JIRA user directory for that or did you add them in the internal confluence directory?
Regards,
Dave
Hello Dave,
Yes, we used JIRA user directory to add users in Confluence. Thank you.

Hello @Dave Bosman [Realdolmen]
How we need to add users in Confluence as earlier we used JIRA user directory to add users in Confluence. Thank you.

Pranav

If you added the group confluenc-users in JIRA to all your users you should remove it again and that will solve your problem (can take some time to syncronize depending on the settings that you used)
If you added the group jira-software-users to the global permissions in confluence you will need to disable the JIRA directory through the database. https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/how-do-i-remove-a-user-directory-from-confluence-via-the-database-308609397.html
And you should login again with the local confluence user.

Hello @Dave Bosman [Realdolmen]
In Confluence database we have 2 directories -
In Jira database we have 1 directory -
As per the link shared, will issue get resolves by removing the Remote Jira Directory from Confluence database? Please suggest.
Thank you
