Display page restrictions from history

Is there a macro that would allow me to display specific history events?

I would like to have a macro that shows every time the page restrictions have been changed and by who.

Is this something I will need to write myself?

I would think this is something you would need to write yourself. And it would probably have to do the logging as well. Changing permissions is an event, but I doubt any history is maintained. And then the fact that permissions can be inherited, complicates the situation even further.

I would assume that permissions are only evaluated when a child/descendent page is viewed/rendered, not when permission changes are made at the parent or space level.

After our developer did a little experimenting I don't believe this is possible.

The complications of inheritance, event and history logging I don't believe this is something that we as end users can accomplish.
